JLR's UK restructuring is on track despite the stories in this weekend's press
Back in September, JLR (Jaguar Land Rover) announced that it intended closing one of its Midlands factories as part of a long-term plan to breathe new life in to the future of JLR. We dutifully reported that but confess we took the easy ‘Bad News’ tack on the story. It was obvious; JLR are closing a factory ergo bad news.
ALMOST one in six drivers admits to deliberately letting their car hit an adjacent one when trying to park. Known as ‘bump parking’, it means drivers simply carry on moving until they hit the car they’re heading towards. The figure rises to a shocking 26% – more than a quarter – among those living in London, with UK-wide drivers aged 18-34 recording the same statistic.
The second complimentary Webinar from Autodesk, entitled ‘Virtual Design Workflow in Automotive', has taken place, led by Industry Specialist for Technical Surfacing/Styling Uwe Rossbacher. The design process in the automotive industry focused on virtual models/techniques along with physical 3D models.
